I'm a guy from New Orleans that loves literature, gardening, music and nature. This blog came on as an idea to review all of the beautiful books that come into my hands in one way or another from Penguin Books. I hope to include the imprints too, so expect to see Penguins, Puffins and Pelicans here! I've blogged since 2007 at Stuff as Dreams are Made on and continue to do so. This is a special place...a place just for Penguins. There will be book reviews that are crossovers, but there will also be unique posts here that focus on Penguin publishing history or exciting news that comes about or things I learn along the way of reading all of their books! They've just put out so many amazing editions and I'm a sucker for collecting things. So here's the place where I can combine my love of collecting and my love of books. By collecting a certain type of book. I've started to collect the old vintage Penguin books but they're hard to find in the US, so it's a nice surprise any time I can find one. But in the mean time, there are so many other wonderful Penguin designs out there to discover. Consider this blog a sort of Penguin fan site ;)
